“I just love music. All of it – listening to it, playing. I mean, all of it. Everything about it, really. There’s really nothing about it I don’t like.”
- Jerry Garcia
A native of Houston, Tx, Pato started playing guitar when he was 16. He recalls his first guitar hero being his friend Xander in high school, who first introduced him to the music of John Mayer. Studying John Mayer’s playing led him to discover the works of other guitarists such as Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B King, Jeff Beck and Jimi Hendrix. Through learning about these players he would discover something that changed his life forever; the blues. Developing a deep passion for the genre, Pato would spend hours listening to and trying to emulate Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters and Otis Rush. In 2020 Pato got accepted into Berklee College of Music, where he moved to Boston and got exposed to various different types of music. Pato will earn a dual degree in Music Business and Performance, as well as regularly gigging in the greater Boston area. He also offers guitar lessons on zoom where he can share some of the knowledge he has having studied under some of the best teachers in the world.
